Shipsters Biltong is made on island with as much Local support as possible, at Shipsters Biltong we strive to support local as much as we have been supported by the community. The process includes, a brine in our secret recipe for 24 hours in order to start the curing process, once brined we rub those little Meat Treats down with a special spice blend (only known to the owner/founder) and hang them in a humidity controlled Shipsters Biltong Custom Box made out of white pine. We find the wood leaves a more traditional flavour profile and keeps the moisture and tenderness locked in!

Shipsterd Biltong comes vacuum sealed and has a 4-6-week shelf life (if unopened and refrigerated) and up to 6 months if frozen. If a bag is opened & not finished please store in the fridge.

**Please note Shipsters Biltong comes with fat on it (the way we enjoyed it in Africa). The fat is on the ends & can be sliced off if necessary. If you would prefer biltong without fat, please take a look at our chili bite options as well as make a note on your order and we can try accommodate if possible.

Each bag is Varied in size of mouth-watering taste teasing handmade biltong from a very passionate South African!
